The National Weather Service reports storm damage from hail, high winds, thunderstorms, and possible tornados in southwest Nebraska.
The NWS office in North Platte reports possible tornado damage seven miles north of Hayes Center just after 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18.
In addition, the Hitchcock County Sheriff reports that Stratton sustained damage from at least one tornado. The sheriff reported power lines down north of Stratton and urged people to stay clear of damaged areas. NWS reports the tornado was north of Stratton.
Large hail was also reported south of Wallace. NWS reported 60 mph winds in several places across the region including Chappell and Scottsbluff plus hail around Lexington and Kearney.
A line of storms from Texas to Nebraska brought storm warnings across the great plains.
