Furnas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash into an Arapahoe building over the weekend. Around 4:03am on Saturday July 5, 2025. Deputies responded to The Shady Rest Motel where a Ford F-150 had crashed into the motel office, causing extensive damage.
Sheriff Doug Brown says the investigation also revealed damage to multiple yards along the vehicle’s path leading to the crash. The amount of damage has yet to be determined. No injuries were reported.
Dylan Janssen Van Rensburg, age 21 of Arapahoe was arrested on several charges including suspicion of Driving Under the Influence .
