HALSEY, Neb. — A roadway and bridge improvement project near Halsey is set to begin Monday, weather permitting, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
The work will take place on Spur 86B and the Halsey Spur Bridge over the Middle Loup River, just off Highway 2. Planned improvements include removing existing asphalt, replacing the bridge, grading, concrete paving, earthwork, and seeding.
Traffic will be maintained with lane closures, temporary signals, and an 11-foot width restriction through the construction zone.
The project is expected to wrap up in September. NDOT is reminding drivers to use caution in work areas, slow down, buckle up, and avoid distractions.
