GRAND ISLAND, Neb.- A Hall County man has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to drug distribution and child abuse charges in district court.
According to Hall County court records, 23-year-old Lucian Alejandro Martinez originally faced multiple felony counts, including first-degree sexual assault, distribution of a controlled substance, child abuse and terroristic threats.
In a change-of-plea hearing on Oct. 6, 2025, Martinez pleaded guilty to Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Child Abuse. The court record states the remaining counts were dismissed with prejudice as part of the plea agreement.
Martinez was sentenced to 4 to 10 years in prison on the drug count and 30 to 36 months on the child abuse count. The sentences are ordered to run concurrently, and Martinez received 401 days of credit for time already served
The sentencing order also includes notice that Martinez has obligations under the Nebraska Sex Offender Registration Act tied to the child abuse conviction.
