One person is dead following a three vehicle crash near Milford.
The Seward County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday, they responded to the crash at the intersection of 280th Road and Pioneers Road.
According to a preliminary investigation, a southbound SUV had attempted to turn left onto Pioneers Road from 280th Road when it struck a westbound pickup.
Authorities say the collision caused the two vehicles to then hit a topped semi that was trying to turn left onto 280th road.
The sheriff’s office says Stephanie Lewis of Milford was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup was transported to Seward Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, while the semi-driver was evaluated but did not seek further medical attention.
The Milford Fire Department, Milford Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Midwest Towing, and Gene’s Towing also assisted on scene.
The Seward County Sheriff’s Office extended their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
