Authorities in Lincoln County had a sticky situation after a semi trailer loaded with gummy bears caught on fire.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says just before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to mile marker 166 on Interstate 80, about a mile east of the Hershey interchange.
Authorities say they arrived to find a semi trailer loaded with gummy bears fully engulfed in flames.
They say the driver was able to remove the truck before the fire got out of control.
The sheriff’s office says the Hershey and Sutherland Volunteer Fire Departments quickly responded and stopped the spreading grass fire as well as extinguishing the trailer.
Authorities did not report any injuries from the incident.
