LEXINGTON, NE – Women’s Resource Center of North Platte held a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at their new location in Lexington.
Women’s Resource Center is a non-profit faith based organization provides free and confidential services for women and families who are unexpectedly pregnant or need some extra support in their journey of parenthood.
Lexington Center Director Laurie Viter says since their soft opening at the end of February, their learn and earn program has been the most utilized service so far.
Other services include free self-administered pregnancy tests, limited OB ultrasounds, peer counseling, numerous parenting classes, a boutique and more.
Vitor says they will also have a staff member on-hand for anyone who needs a Spanish translator.
Vitor talks about what this center will do for the community of Lexington and the surrounding area.
The Women’s Resource Center will be open Tuesday through Thursday 10am to 4pm. Viter says as more clients come in, they will look at adding hours.
