ARNOLD, Neb. — A familiar location in Arnold is getting a new look and expanded offerings, as Justin and Chrissy Stockall open the Punchy Poppy inside the former Arnold Exchange.
The couple said the convenience store side of the business will remain in place, continuing to serve customers as it always has, while also undergoing improvements to enhance the overall experience.
During a recent interview, Stockall emphasized that maintaining the convenience store is a priority as they build out the new venture.
At the same time, the Punchy Poppy will introduce a range of western retail products, including high-end turquoise and silver jewelry, along with tack and ranch equipment designed for everyday use.
“If we can’t use it at the ranch ourselves, we don’t sell it,” Stockall said.
The business will carry a variety of well-known items in the western industry, with a focus on durability and quality for working ranchers and western lifestyle customers.
Stockall added that the store will reflect the couple’s family-oriented approach, with their young children often present and a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
“We’re not just making this a business. It is a family affair,” he said.
An official grand opening and open house is planned once updates to the space are complete. Community members are encouraged to attend and see both the improvements to the convenience store and the new retail offerings.
The Punchy Poppy aims to provide a one-stop destination in Arnold, combining the everyday needs of a convenience store with specialty western goods all in a location many residents already know well.
