Broken Bow, Neb. — Hot Meals USA and volunteers are serving firefighters and victims of the Pressey Fire near Oconto, Neb.
They began distributing meals from the Custer County Fairgrounds in Broken Bow on Thursday, starting with the noon meal.
Dick Cochran, founder of Hot Meals USA says they only learned Wednesday about 9:30 p.m. that they needed to feed the Pressey firefighters, but they put out the word out on social media and Thursday morning several volunteers showed up…
Cochran says Hot Meals USA will have volunteer sign-ups on its Facebook page and on its website hotmealsusa.org

Thursday night’s supper was cooked in Kearney and transported to Broken Bow. However, by today (Friday) they will have their mobile food trailer in Broken Bow and start cooking at the Custer County Fairgrounds.
