GRAND ISLAND — Broken Bow competed at the Dave Gee Invitational at Grand Island Northwest, turning in a balanced performance highlighted by throws, relays, and middle-distance races.
On the boys side, Andrew Ellis led the field events with a runner-up finish in the discus (154-4) and a sixth-place mark in the shot put (49-9). Gunner Baltz added a sixth-place discus throw (144-11), while Aiden Page posted a personal-best 129-5. On the track, Kale Kulhanek ran a personal-best 52.24 in the 400 and later clocked 2:12.91 in the 800. Broken Bow’s 4×400 relay team of Cash Kleeb, Kulhanek, Dominic Nowak, and Ayden Clark placed ninth.
In the sprints, Ayden Clark (11.61) and Braxton Eggelston (11.74) each recorded personal bests in the 100, while Eggelston added a PR in the 200. In the field, Colton Uhlig posted a personal-best 20-4.5 in the long jump.
For the girls, Halle Quinn delivered one of the top finishes of the day, placing third in the 800 (2:27.51). Lauryn Hansen added a personal-best 2:35.35 in the same event. The 4×800 relay team placed fifth, while Charlee Myers cleared a personal-best 10-7 to finish fourth in the pole vault. Baylee Clark recorded PRs in both the 100 and 400.

PAXTON- At the Paxton Invitational, Anselmo-Merna and Mullen produced multiple event champions, with Sandhills Valley also contributing several top finishes.
Anselmo-Merna’s Colin Wright dominated, winning the 100, 200, and high jump, where he cleared a personal-best 6-5. The Coyotes also swept the top two spots in the 110 hurdles behind Tim Myers and Caenyn Priest, while Trevor Duryea captured the triple jump title. The Anselmo-Merna 4×100 relay team also finished first. On the girls side, Malloree Bartak won the shot put with a personal-best 36-8.5, and Lily Thornton took first in the discus.
Mullen saw strong performances from Cayden Hampton, who won the 300 hurdles (41.32 PB), and Tate Kvanvig, who claimed the shot put title. The Broncos also won the boys 4×400 relay. On the girls side, Brynne McCully swept the 200 and 400, while Mullen added relay wins in the 4×400 and 4×800.
Sandhills Valley added depth, including a third-place finish in the 110 hurdles from Rhoshykee Bruns and multiple personal-best performances across sprint and field events.

GIBBON- At the Ron Priebe Invitational, Pleasanton, Ravenna, and Amherst all turned in strong showings.
Pleasanton’s Brennan Lindner was a standout, winning both the 100 and 200 while also contributing to first-place finishes in the 4×100 and 4×400 relays. Ravenna’s Jack Kucera swept the hurdles, winning both the 110 and 300 races, while teammate Brendan Lockhorn captured the high jump title at 6-1.
On the girls side, Pleasanton’s Lily Chandler had a dominant day, winning the high jump, pole vault, and triple jump. Ravenna’s Natalie Deines claimed the shot put title with a personal-best 35-0.
Amherst added several top finishes, including Carson Riessland placing third in the boys 1600 and Weston Salter finishing fourth in the 3200. On the girls side, Brynne Fisher posted personal-best efforts in both the 400 and long jump.
