Custer County, NE — Fire officials report that the fire remains under local control. The Broken Bow Fire Department, Callaway Fire Department, and Oconto Fire Department continue to work collaboratively to monitor the affected area.
Recent rainfall has significantly aided suppression efforts and allowed for a reduction in active patrols. While fire activity has decreased, all three agencies will maintain ongoing monitoring to ensure public safety and to respond rapidly should conditions change.
