Two people were arrested after a search warrant for controlled substances was executed in Kearney over the weekend.
The Kearney Police Department says law enforcement served the search warrant at a home in the 1700 Block of G Avenue at around 7:00 a.m. Saturday.
Police say six people, including one juvenile, were found at the home.
An arrest affidavit says authorities located a two-thirds of a gram of meth inside the home worth $60.
Court records say authorities also found a digital scale and two glass pipes commonly used to smoke meth inside the house.
Two people were taken into custody; Kyle Weiser, 41, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, and David Erpelding, 66, was arrested for Resisting Arrest and Obstructing a Police Officer.
The juvenile was taken from the home and the Department of Health and Human Services was contacted.
The Kearney Police Department was assisted by the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Tri-Cities Drug Enforcement Team, CHI Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney Volunteer Fire Department, Department of Health and Human Services, Family Advocacy Network, City of Kearney Public Works Department, and the Buffalo County Attorney’s Office.
