CUSTER COUNTY, NE- Fire crews responded to two separate grass fires in Custer County on Wednesday, with both incidents brought under control without major reported damage.
The first fire was reported north of Arnold and was handled by the Arnold Volunteer Fire Department. Officials said the fire burned less than one acre before crews were able to contain it.
The second fire was reported west of Callaway and burned approximately 50 acres. Multiple agencies responded within the Callaway Fire District, with three fire departments assisting on the scene to contain the blaze.
No injuries were reported from either fire.
