Omaha-Lexington played an outstanding second half and beat Bennington 2-1 on Thursday night in the Class B boys state soccer quarterfinals. Lexington trailed 1-0 at half after all stater Kade Olbrich scored in the 21st minute for the Badgers.
The Minutemen however came fighting back, in the second 40 minutes. First Kendrick Marroquin got lose and fired home a shot to tie the game eight minutes into the second half. Then Jose Navorrete put Lexington up 2-1 as he scored in the 69th minute.

Lexington stood tall defensively down the stretch to improve to 14-5 on the season. The Minutemen have now won six straight state quarterfinal matches and will face defending state champion Schuyler on Saturday night at 7:30pm. The Warriors beat Lexington earlier this season 2-1.
