A severe thunderstorm resulted in outages to more than 2,000 NPPD retail customers in Kearney and Gibbon.
NPPD crews are assessing the damage and are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.

Dawson Public Power District had nearly 270 customers with outages across its service territory around 10:00pm.
Other damages reported through National Weather Service include:
A large tree fell on a residence in Aurora.
Hail up to 2″ in diameter 6 miles south of Polk.Hail up to 2″ in Shelton.
Wind damage at Highway 10 and Avenue N in Kearney. There was an overturned pivot and fences blown down.
