The National Weather Service and the Perry Weather Service have indicated a high probability for severe weather tomorrow (including hail, high winds, and possible tornadoes) which will inevitably interfere with the NSAA State Soccer & Baseball Championships.
After exploring all of our options (Nebraska Public Media, facility availability, graduation ceremonies, etc.), the decision has been made to move the State Soccer Championships to Tuesday and Wednesday with the following schedule:
NSAA Soccer Championships:
Tuesday, May 19th
4:30 p.m. – Class B Girls Championship (Lincoln Pius X v. Blair)
8 p.m. – Class A Girls Championship (Omaha Marian v. Elkhorn South)
Wednesday, May 20th
4:30 p.m. – Class B Boys Championship (Gretna v. Lexington)
8 p.m. – Class A Boys Championship (Lincoln Southwest v. Omaha South)
Additionally, 12 baseball games are scheduled for tomorrow at 3 locations. After considering pitch counts, recovery time, and venue availability, etc., the decision has been made to move tomorrow’s start time up one hour and use a rolling schedule, shown below:
