The College World Series got underway at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha on Friday. West Virginia defeated Troy 7-5 in the first game of the day while North Carolina downed Ole Miss 6-2 in the nightcap. Two more games are set for Saturday as Oklahoma plays Alabama at 2:00 p.m. and Texas squares off with Georgia at 7:00 p.m.
