North Platte Community College has unveiled its 2026 raffle car — a fully restored 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS marking the debut of the latest project completed by students in the college’s Automotive Technology and Auto Body Technology programs.
The Malibu SS is the 21st raffle car restored by students and features a custom PPG northern lights and space gray paint scheme, along with a custom hood, tubular front and rear suspension, and a Ford 9-inch rear end. Under the hood, the vehicle is powered by a 396-cubic-inch engine with a roller camshaft and valvetrain producing 375 horsepower, paired with a 700R4 transmission.
Raffle tickets are $10 each with proceeds supporting student scholarships and help offset future build costs, with the drawing set for Sept. 12 during the Colonel Cody’s Cruise Show and Shine in North Platte’s Memorial Park.
