The 2026 Holbrook Days is this weekend with activities starting Thursday, June 25th, and goes through Saturday, June 27th.
All surrounding a sasquatch theme, Clark Andrews, a member of the Holbrook Days committee, tells the story behind the idea for this year’s celebration.
The celebration kicks off Thursday evening with bingo at the Community Building.
Friday evening features the Holbrook Fire Department hamburger feed at 5pm, prairie pizza bingo at 6pm and the parade at 7:30pm.
This year’s Grand Marshall is Larry Cotnoir, a native of Holbrook.
After the parade there will be the first night of guided sasquatch hunts. Andrews explains what the guided hunts will look like.
The guided hunts will leave every half hour from downtown Holbrook starting at 8pm both Friday and Saturday.
Saturday features a full schedule with things kicking off at 8am with a pre-fair livestock show including both cattle and sheep.
After the livestock show, everyone gathers south of Holbrook at the Republican River for the very popular River Rat Volleyball Tournament.
Saturday also features a Poker Run at noon meeting at HoJo’s Hideaway, and another round of guided sasquatch hunts starting at 8pm.
Andrews adds that raffle tickets will be sold at all the events or with any of the Holbrook Days committee members for a Living Legend! Bond Arms DT47 – 45/410.
