SHERMAN COUNTY — Heavy rain is creating problems on rural roads in Sherman County, including a delay for some Amazon Prime deliveries.
In a social media post on Wednesday, the Sherman County Nebraska Sheriff’s Office said deputies were working to recover an Amazon delivery vehicle so the route could continue. The office said some deliveries may be slightly delayed as a result.
The sheriff’s office also warned drivers that minimum maintenance roads may be hazardous because of the recent heavy rainfall. Photos shared with the post showed muddy road conditions in a rural area.
Drivers are urged to use caution, especially on gravel and minimum maintenance roads, where soft shoulders, mud, and standing water can make travel difficult. The sheriff’s office reminded residents that conditions can change quickly following heavy rain.
