On July 18, 2026, at approximately 8:13 p.m. Deputies with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident near 21361 West Highway 30 just east of Maxwell.
Initial reports came in of one female trapped in a vehicle. Upon arrival it was learned that Lisa Sabin of North Platte had passed away at the scene.
Ms. Sabin was traveling westbound on Highway 30, according to the initial investigation on scene. Ms. Sabin crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and collided head on with an SUV traveling eastbound on Highway 30.
Accident reconstructionists were called to the scene to investigate the incident which is ongoing at this time. The driver of the SUV was transported to Great Plains Health with suspected minor injuries.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office sends it’s thoughts and prayers to the Sabin family.
