The Lexington Dairy Queen will be drive-thru only for the time being, after a driver ran into the building on Thursday morning.
According to the Lexington Police Department, the vehicle vs building incident occurred at 11:21a.m., when a vehicle accelerated into the building. The damage broke a window and made its forceful dent into the north wall of the restaurant, just to the left of the entrance doors. There were no injuries reported at the scene.
Despite their lobby being closed due to the incident, the drive-thru is open. A Dairy Queen representative said that hours at this time will be unchanged. Fourteen Foods, who owns the Lexington Dairy Queen, could not be reached for comment.
