KBEAR Announces 22-Event Fall Sports Broadcast Schedule

BROKEN BOW — KBEAR 92.3 FM has announced its 2026 fall sports broadcast schedule, featuring 22 football and volleyball events involving teams from across central Nebraska.

The schedule includes 13 football broadcasts and nine volleyball broadcasts, beginning Monday, Aug. 24, when Anselmo-Merna visits S-E-M for volleyball action.

The football schedule opens Friday, Aug. 28, with Burwell traveling to face Anselmo-Merna. Other early-season football matchups include S-E-M at Ansley/Litchfield on Sept. 3, Pleasanton at Amherst on Sept. 4, and Chadron at Broken Bow on Sept. 11.

Broken Bow will be featured five times during the regular season, including three volleyball matches and two football games. KBEAR will provide the call when the Broken Bow volleyball team travels to Lexington on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Indians will then visit Cozad for football the following night.

Burwell also appears five times on the schedule, beginning with the football game at Anselmo-Merna. The Longhorns will later be featured in volleyball matches against Arcadia/Loup City and Anselmo-Merna, along with football games against Twin Loup and Central Valley.

Anselmo-Merna is represented four times, while Arcadia/Loup City appears in three broadcasts. S-E-M, South Loup, Ansley/Litchfield, and Amherst are each scheduled for two appearances.

The regular-season schedule concludes Friday, Oct. 23, when Central Valley travels to Burwell for football.

KBEAR also plans to provide postseason coverage beginning with volleyball subdistricts on Monday, Oct. 26, followed by the opening round of the football playoffs. Postseason assignments will be determined once matchups are announced.

The MNAC Volleyball Championship match on Saturday, Oct. 17, is also included, with participating teams and the broadcast assignment to be determined.
