The state continued to call its witnesses this morning in the first degree murder trial of 35-year-old Aristh Rodriguez-Linares, starting with Rodriguez-Linares’s stepfather and mother, who lived with Rodriguez Linares at the scene of the shooting.
The stepfather testified he received a message from Rodriguez Linares saying that he had shot Maykel Farinas Carballo, but did not see it until later. Rodriguez Linares’s mother said Farinas Carballo was not welcome at the home, and he had made a threat to family members.
KRVN’s Dave Schroeder is at the Dawson County Courthouse, and we’ll have a full report of the day’s court proceedings this evening on KRVN.com
