COZAD – The sale of Cozad Community Health System’s (CCHS) assisted living and memory care facility, Meadowlark Pointe, was finalized on July 31, 2026.
The facility was sold to Thrive Zone Cozad LLC, owned by Oliver Pahila. Pahila was among a pool of 200 potential buyers that a broker reached out to. That list was brought down to three individuals who visited Meadowlark Pointe. CCHS CEO Robert Dyer says Oliver Pahila was the buyer, “who rose to the top in terms of being most interested in the facility.”
Dyer briefly explains why the health system decided to put the facility up for sale back in August of 2025.
Meadowlark Pointe Executive Director Amber Cochrane talks about the new owner and a little bit about who he is as a person.
Cochrane says their goal moving forward under this new ownership, “is to make Meadowlark Pointe feel like a home. We want the residents to feel comfortable, valued, loved and truly part of the community. That’s how it’s been for 20 years. We don’t want to make a lot of changes here.”
Cochrane adds they will be continuing to grow the services they provide and make assisted living and memory care more accessible. She says they will be accepting Medicaid residents in both their assisted living and memory care units.
Those interested in learning more about the facility are encouraged to tour the building anytime. Cochrane says they will be holding a grand opening under the new ownership within the next month or two with the date yet to be determined.
Meadowlark Pointe is an independent and assisted living facility located in Cozad licensed to care for 69 residents with a total of 49 rooms. Cochrane lists the services provided at the facility.

This transition will allow Cozad Community Health System to focus on continuing to deliver the highest quality of family, acute, specialty and home health and hospice care, as well as surgical, diagnostic and rehabilitative services, while ensuring Meadowlark Pointe continues to thrive under ownership with expertise in assisted living and memory care. This decision supports the long term viability of healthcare in our community.
Cochrane says a new website for Meadowlark Pointe will be launched in the near future along with the announcement of their grand opening event date.
