Lexington, Neb. — An afternoon power outage hit 623 customers in Lexington on Wednesday.
The outage started at 3:26 p.m. It affected several businesses along Plum Creek Parkway and U.S. Highway 283.
Grant Otten is a spokesman for Nebraska Public Power District. He says crews restored power to 621 customers by 4:46 p.m.
The final two customers had power back by 6:02 p.m. Otten says a bird got into some electrical equipment and caused the outage.
