BROKEN BOW, Neb. — The Custer County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 9 a.m. in the supervisors’ room on the top floor of the Custer County Courthouse.
The board is scheduled to consider end-of-month claims, hear an update from the Nebraska Association of County Officials and discuss the Custer County Museum’s annual request for financial support.
Supervisors will also act as the county Board of Equalization to consider property tax list corrections involving overvalued, undervalued or omitted property. The board will consider a resolution approving fiscal year 2026-27 levy allocation requests from political subdivisions.
Road-related business includes applications to cross county rights of way and possible acceptance of a study involving Road No. 451 and Petition No. 3427. If the study is accepted through Resolution 31R-2026, the board will set a public hearing date.
Other scheduled items include a discussion with Brian Palmer regarding the Custer County Ag Society, renewal of a contract with Applied Connective Technology and designation of a printer for postcards connected to the joint public hearing process. The board will also consider approving 2026 inventory reports for county offices.
At 10:30 a.m., the board will convene for Corner Township business. Supervisors are scheduled to approve minutes and a claim, consider a resolution authorizing an additional 1% in restricted funds authority, and discuss a preliminary levy allocation request.
A public-comment period is also included on the agenda.
The agenda is continuously updated and available for public inspection at the Custer County Clerk’s Office. The board may take agenda items out of order and may enter closed session when permitted by law.
