After traveling thousands of miles across Nebraska and neighboring communities, KRVN Radio’s Diamond Anniversary Drive came to a close today with three major prize giveaways in celebration of the station’s 75th anniversary year. KRVN Radio hosted an open house this afternoon at the Station and then conducted the drawings.
Since May, the KRVN Diamond Anniversary Drive has covered more than 7,800 miles in a 2024 Chevy Silverado, stopping at almost 90 events and placing registration boxes at more than 150 businesses across the state. From Imperial in southwest Nebraska to York in the east, and from North Loup to Stockton, Kansas, listeners had opportunities to register during fairs, parades, rodeos, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, barbecues and numerous community events. The promotion included appearances at 20 county fairs and 15 parades throughout the summer and fall.
The first-place winner of the 2024 Chevy Silverado was Reba Deterding of Cambridge. Reba registerd at Mark’s Pharmacy/Shirley K’s in Cambridge. The Chevy Silverdo features Bluetooth connectivity, heated seats and steering wheel, remote start, a roomy backseat, spray-in bedliner, wheelhouse liners, mud guards, custom Chevy emblems and running boards.
The second prize, a Yamaha Kodiak 450 EPS ATV, was awarded to Kim Schepker from Holdrege. Kim registered at Rudy’s Tires in Holdrege. The ATV is equipped ed with a liquid-cooled 421cc four-stroke engine, On-Command four-wheel drive, steel cargo racks, heavy-duty receiver hitch, work light and independent off-road suspension.
The third prize winner, was Nick Dutton of Minden. Dutton took home a Broil King grill valued at nearly $1,500. He registered at the Jct 6/10 Cruzerz Car Show in Minden.
Market Manager Kathy Armagost says “the Diamond Anniversary Drive was about so much more than giving away prizes. It was an opportunity to thank the listeners, clients and communities who have supported KRVN and Nebraska Rural Radio Association for 75 years.” Armagost added that “this promotion is a true reflection of what makes us special — a team of dedicated people working together, building relationships and carrying a meaningful legacy forward for the next generation.”
