CUSTER COUNTY – The Custer County Board of Supervisors amended multiple 2026-27 levy allocations during a special meeting on November 5, including changes for two townships and the removal of a fire district levy request.
Vice Chairperson Sara Parliament opened the meeting in the absence of Chairperson Charles Blowers. Supervisors Anne Gibbons, Tammy Kleeb, James Markham and Parliament were present, while three supervisors were absent.
The board considered Resolution 35B-2026, an amendment to previously approved resolutions concerning levy allocations for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
Under the amendment, Mason City Fire District will not receive a levy allocation because the county did not receive a budget.
The amendment also adjusts the general fund levy for two townships. Comstock Township’s general fund levy changes from 0.035915 to 0.035859, while Corner Township’s general fund changes from 0.064411 to 0.062582.
The changes amend Resolution 35-2026 and Resolution 35A-2026, which were previously approved by the board during the county supervisors meeting on October 13, 2026.
Following a motion and second, the four county supervisors unanimously approved the amendment.
