BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce held a pair of ribbon cuttings and a GROW Award presentation Thursday afternoon.
Prairie Pioneer Center celebrated the installation of a new blood pressure hub in conjunction with an open house celebrating 45 years in the community.
Director Cathy Larson said the device to measure blood pressure was provided at no cost to the center by the South Central Area Agency on Aging using a grant from the American Heart Association.
She said the hub is available for anyone to use at any time when the Prairie Pioneer Center is open.
Runza was then presented with a GROW Award to celebrate the recent completion of renovations to the building.
Manager Brian Palmer previously told KBEAR it’s the first remodel the store has had since it was opened by owners Kevin and Joyce Richardson in 2008. The Richardsons thanked the community for the great support they’ve received over the years.
Finally the Chamber welcomed a new member, 10|23 Boutique, located inside the Arrow Mini Mall along Highway 2.
Owner Bailey Tebow is approaching three years that she’s been in business, but recently moved into a new location.
Tebow said the boutique, which specializes in women’s clothes and accessories will be open Tuesday through Saturday beginning May 20. Until then the store will be open at irregular times with information available on her website and social media pages.
