ORD, Neb. — A leadership program coming to Central Community College in Ord this fall is designed to help participants strengthen both their professional careers and personal lives.
The Synovation Valley Leadership Academy will begin classes September 10th and continue through March 20th, offering a mix of two-hour, four-hour and full-day sessions. One of the cornerstone programs, EQ Edge, runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Fridays and takes a deep dive into emotional intelligence and business principles. The classes will take place at Central Community College in Ord, or are available via Zoom.
Jeana Hackel, a program leader, said the academy’s approach goes beyond technical skills. Sessions include breathing and “excavation” exercises aimed at identifying fears, barriers and habits that may hold participants back.
“The more I can know about myself, the more I can make better decisions,” Hackel said, noting that many attendees report benefits in their personal lives as well as in their workplaces.
The academy emphasizes impact, decision-making and practical tools for leadership. Organizers say classes are suited for business professionals, community leaders and anyone seeking personal growth.
