Colleen Sterner brings experience in event strategy, donor relations and partnership development to her new role as an Account Executive with the Nebraska Rural Radio Association. Sterner said sales has always felt like a form of storytelling.
“Connecting people, ideas and opportunities in a way that creates something meaningful is what has sparked my interest in sales,” Sterner said. “I’ve spent my career building relationships, earning trust and helping people say yes to what matters most to them.”
Sterner will focus primarily on sales for KBEAR while also supporting Nebraska Rural Radio Association stations. She said she is excited to join the team and help local businesses grow while continuing to inform, entertain and connect communities through radio.
“Colleen is a natural fit for what we do at KBEAR. She brings a unique mix of experience and perspective, and the kind of drive that’s going to make an impact from day one,” Adam Smith, the KBEAR market manager said.
Sterner is originally from Wisconsin and has also lived in Virginia and Los Angeles before settling in Merna, Nebraska. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, home projects and creative outlets such as design, decorating and planning her next adventure, as well as spending time with family.
Please join us in welcoming Colleen Sterner of Merna to the NRRA team.
