GRAND ISLAND — A Grand Island man is in custody following a reported domestic disturbance involving a weapon on April 8.
According to Grand Island Police Division Chief Dean Elliott, officers were dispatched to a home on North Elm Street at approximately 2:22 p.m.
Police say 29-year-old Riley Lewis allegedly threatened a 28-year-old woman with a knife while she was holding a 3-year-old child. During the incident, Lewis reportedly exited the residence and shattered a door window, resulting in minor injuries.
Lewis was taken into custody and is facing charges of felony terroristic threats and misdemeanor child abuse due to neglect.
