Broken Bow, Neb. — Attorney Glenn Clark, 79, of Broken Bow and formerly, Lexington, died on April 4 in Lincoln after a long career serving as the County Attorney for several central Nebraska counties.
Clark grew up in Benkleman, graduating from high school there in 1964. In the years since, the school, still located in Benkleman, was consolidated and now serves the county under the name Dundy County-Stratton High School.
Glenn Clark served in the U.S. Navy from January 29, 1965, to January 27, 1969. He joined the first crew of the USS Tripoli as a radio mechanic. He completed two tours in Vietnam.
After the Navy, Glenn attended Chadron State College, graduating in 1973.
He then studied law at the University of Nebraska College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 1976.
He began his law career with Attorney John Neff in Lexington, Nebraska.
Glenn Clark’s passion for the rule of law to achieve justice lead him to become County Attorney in Dawson, Phelps, Custer, Valley, Logan, and Blaine counties.
Visitation is set for Thursday, April 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.
The U.S. Navy will provide military honors.
