The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Rodeo Team turned in a strong performance at the Jackrabbit Stampede in Brookings, South Dakota, with five athletes in th short round.
Lynsie Lancaster led part of that effort in goat tying, finishing near the top of the field.
Nebraska saw success across multiple events, but the biggest highlight came in goat tying, where three Cornhuskers made the short round.
“It was actually a tie, and we had 13 people in it instead of 10. We had three come back in one event, which was pretty cool to see,” Lancaster said.
Hailey O’Dainel added two clean runs in barrel racing, while Gage Schram posted a strong time in steer wrestling to make the short round.
As the regular season winds down, this weekend features the John Cook Team Roping Classic in Lincoln, a fundraiser supporting the rodeo program.
