GRAND ISLAND — Police are investigating an early morning incident near Stolley Park involving a vehicle that fled from officers.
Grand Island Police say the call came in at approximately 12:44 a.m. on April 20. A 17-year-old male was reportedly driving the vehicle, which also had three juvenile passengers inside, when it attempted to evade law enforcement.
Authorities later located the vehicle along with all four occupants. Multiple injuries were reported in connection to the incident.
The driver was taken into custody and is facing felony charges including operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and failure to stop and render aid. He was also cited for violating a provisional operator’s permit and two traffic infractions for disobeying stop lights.
