Oconto, NE – Fire officials report that the Pressey Fire has been returned to local control for the past 24 hours. The Broken Bow Fire Department, Callaway Fire Department, and Oconto Fire Department are working collaboratively to continue monitoring the affected area.
Recent rainfall has significantly aided suppression efforts and reduced the level of patrolling required. While activity has decreased, all three agencies will maintain ongoing monitoring to ensure public safety and address any changes in conditions.
Current containment is estimated at 75%.
