Crews working on a power outage affecting 663 customers in the Lexington area

Lexington, Neb. — Approximately 663 customers are experiencing a power outage in the Lexington area according to Nebraska Public Power District.
NPPD says the outage began about 9:35 a.m.
The cause has not been determined.
A crew is currently in the area making repairs to the system. The outage has impacted the Dawson County Courthouse.
UPDATE 11:10am. NPPD advises the outage appears to be caused by a an issue with a piece of equipment at the substation serving the impacted customers. Crews are working on restoration. They did have a timeline for how long the repair would take.
