Cancer survivors from across central Nebraska will take the spotlight during the Cattlemen’s Ball style show, featuring 31 models and raising funds for cancer research and treatment.
Kelly Terrell, co-chair of the style show, said the event highlights local survivors while bringing together community support through fashion and storytelling.
The style show is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the saloon tent and is expected to last about an hour. Terrell said the event is designed to be both entertaining and meaningful.
Participants are paired with area boutiques, which donate outfits for the show. Models not only wear the clothing on stage, but also get to keep their outfits.
Styles vary widely, allowing for a diverse showcase. Terrell noted that model selection for this year’s show has already closed, with an April 1, 2026 deadline to allow time for coordination with boutiques and preparation for event programs.
The style show is supported by sponsors, with proceeds benefiting cancer research.
Some of the boutiques contributing to the event include Loudon’s Western Wear in Lexington, K J’s Boots & Western Wear in North Platte, Town & Country Western Wear in North Platte, Rustic & Red in Cozad, Hissy Fit Boutique in Minden, Gary Michaels in Hastings, Mode Boutique in Cozad, and The 308 Boutique in Holdrege, along with other additional stores and boutiques.
While the style show will be the main attraction inside the tent, attendees can also expect a lively atmosphere with cash bars outside the tent.

For Terrell, the most meaningful part of the event is honoring those who have faced cancer.
