KEARNEY — A Kearney man convicted in a child exploitation case has been sentenced to prison following a plea agreement in Buffalo County District Court.
Dylan Judd, 27, pleaded no contest to two counts of possession of child pornography during a pre-trial hearing. In exchange, prosecutors dismissed additional charges, including two counts of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, Class 1D felonies, and counts of intentional child abuse, Class 3A felonies.
On April 29, Judge John Marsh sentenced Judd to concurrent prison terms of eight to 20 years on each count. He was credited with 265 days already served.
Judd will also be required to register as a sex offender.
According to court records, the investigation stems from allegations that Judd created and possessed child sexual abuse material between July 25 and Aug. 8, 2025. The complaint also alleges child abuse involving an eight-year-old during that same timeframe.
Authorities arrested Judd on Aug. 8, 2025, and he was booked into the Buffalo County Jail. An affidavit detailing the allegations has been sealed.
