The 140th Hastings College Commencement is this Saturday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at Lynn Farrell Arena (800 E. 12th St.) on campus.
Media are invited to attend.
During the ceremony, the College will award undergraduate degrees to 190 students, and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees to seven students. (Final numbers may change.)
The student speaker is Bri Narick, an English major from Bellevue, Nebraska. Named to the Who’s Who list during Honors Convocation, Narick is a Dean’s List student who has previous experience on the forensics team, where she placed 6th in poetry at the national level. She has served on many student organizations, including student media, Student Senate and the student insights panel. Narick also worked on the Collegian, and is a member of Phi Alpha Theta and president of Sigma Tau Delta.

The College’s Baccalaureate services is 6:00pm, Friday, May 8. It will be held at First Presbyterian Church (621 N Lincoln Ave.) in Hastings.
