BROKEN BOW, Neb. — The Custer County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to meet in regular session Tuesday, May 12, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Supervisors Room on the top floor of the Custer County Courthouse in Broken Bow.
According to the agenda filed with the Custer County Clerk’s Office and provided to KBEAR, supervisors are expected to address a variety of county business matters during the meeting.
Items listed for discussion and possible action include approval of middle-of-the-month claims, April fee reports, and a Register of Deeds update. The board will also consider Region III Behavioral Health Services county matching funds for the 2026-27 fiscal year and a Blue Cross/Blue Shield dental subgroup renewal application for county employees.
Supervisors are also expected to consider Resolution No. 17-2026 to create a fund for road project bond proceeds and Resolution No. 18-2026 to establish a road bond fund.
Additional agenda items include Board of Equalization tax list corrections involving over, under, and omitted valuations, a proposed sign request from Heritage Bank near the Judicial Center, applications to cross county right-of-way, and discussion regarding the county highway superintendent hiring process.
The board will also review a request involving a sick bank recipient and discuss coordination of employee benefits.
A quarterly jail visit and public comment period are also included on the agenda.
County officials noted the board may enter closed session on any agenda item if necessary, and agenda items may be taken out of order for the convenience of those involved.
