A Sutherland man convicted of sexual assault and child enticement appeared in Lincoln County District Court Monday for sentencing.
Court records say 22-year-old Jacob Cox Jr. was sentenced to 10-15 years in prison for 1st-Degree Sexual Assault and Sexual Assault by Use of an Electronic Communications Device.
Cox had pled no contest to the charges and in exchange, three counts of Possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material were dismissed.
An arrest affidavit says Cox was accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with an underaged girl.
During his sentencing, Cox was also ordered to register as a sex offender for 25 years.
