Kearney, Neb. — The S.A.F.E. Center in Kearney, Nebraska, is celebrating its Prevention Coordinator, Veronica Holguin, for receiving the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s (NSVRC) 2026 Visionary Voice Award.
Holguin earned this national honor for her leadership in advancing sexual violence prevention and community engagement across central Nebraska, strengthening S.A.F.E. Center programs in Buffalo, Franklin, Harlan, Kearney, and Phelps counties and launching the state’s first Safe Bars chapter to create safer nightlife environments.
Nominated by the Nebraska Coalition to End Sexual and Domestic Violence, she has also supported statewide prevention evaluation and capacity-building initiatives.
The Visionary Voice Awards are presented annually during Sexual Assault Awareness Month by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. Award recipients are selected from across the United States for their efforts to support survivors and advance the movement to end sexual violence.
