ANSLEY, NE- Two educators from Ansley Public Schools have been recognized for their efforts to connect students with Nebraska agriculture.
Stephanie Evans and Kristi Ryan are among 40 teachers statewide selected as 2026 Nebraska Agriculture in the Classroom Champions, an honor announced this week by the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation.
Sponsored by the Nebraska Corn Board, the Agriculture in the Classroom Champions program recognizes educators who incorporate agriculture-based lessons and resources into their classrooms to help students better understand Nebraska’s food, fiber, and fuel industries.
Teachers participating in the program complete grade-level activities and professional development opportunities that tie agriculture into core subjects such as math, science, social studies, and language arts. Educators who complete seven checklist items through the Agriculture in the Classroom Teacher Toolkit earn recognition along with classroom prizes.
“The Nebraska Corn Board is proud to support educators who are creating meaningful learning experiences and helping students build a stronger connection to Nebraska agriculture,” said Brandon Hunnicutt, a Nebraska farmer and chairman of the Nebraska Corn Board.
The Nebraska Agriculture in the Classroom program aims to increase agricultural literacy among students while helping teachers meet state educational standards through hands-on, agriculture-focused learning experiences.
