Several local athletes are in next week’s 2026 New West All-Star Classic at Minden High School. The annual All Star Classic benefits the Nebraska Kidney Foundation.
The All-Star Volleyball classic is next Wednesday, with games starting at 4PM. The Fort Kearny Conference will take on the Republican Plains Activity Conference, and the Southwest Conference will go against the LouPlatte Conference. Consolation and championship matches will follow. All matches are best of three.
The All-Star Basketball classic is next Thursday, with games again starting at 4PM and the same league matchups from Volleyball. The Fort Kearny Conference/Republican Plains Activity Conference girls game starts at 4PM, with the boys game to follow. The Southwest Conference/LouPlatte Conference games will follow.
