HALL COUNTY, Neb. — A Grand Island man is facing charges after authorities say he contacted a minor through social media and offered money for sex.
Jemal Elemo has been charged in Hall County Court with soliciting a minor for prostitution and distributing obscene literature and material to a minor.
According to an arrest affidavit, officers were called to the 1400 block of West Second Street shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday after a minor male reported receiving an explicit photo from Elemo. The affidavit says Elemo also allegedly offered the minor $200 in exchange for sex.
Investigators say the minor later agreed to meet with Elemo. According to court documents, Elemo admitted to contacting the minor through social media.
Elemo was arrested and booked into the Hall County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for 11 a.m. on July 16.
