A stretch of the road between Overton and Sumner will be closed for the next couple of days for a repair. Dawson County Highway Superintendent Mark Christiansen says Road 444 will be closed from just north of Road 756 to Road 759. The closure of that portion will be closed today(Thurs) through Sunday evening.
Christiansen says there is a dip in the pavement they want to address. The dip is just over a culvert for a Nebraska Public Power District canal. They will be replacing the concrete to make that portion smoother.
