The 2026 Nebraska Youth Range Camp brought nearly 30 students from across the state to Curtis earlier this month for hands-on learning in rangeland management and natural resources. The camp, held June 8th through the 11th at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, provided participants with practical experience and education in stewardship of Nebraska’s grasslands.
Organizers say the annual camp is made possible through a broad partnership that includes the Nebraska Section of the Society for Range Management, local ranchers, the Sandhills Task Force, the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, Natural Resource Districts, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Extension Service, along with numerous volunteers who support the program.
