Amber Burge interview below story:
Gothenburg, Neb. — The Nebraska Community Foundation (NCF) recently named Amber Burge as its new Affiliated Fund Development Coordinator for Southwest Nebraska.
Burge brings more than 30 years of strategic marketing, communication, and leadership experience to the role, having previously served as Vice President of Marketing at Flatwater Bank.
In her new position, she will work directly with local volunteer leaders across the region to inspire community investment, foster rural prosperity, and sustain the unique culture of Southwest Nebraska’s hometowns.
Burge says residents of southwest Nebraska have a unique opportunity to build community endowments within the state, growing community savings accounts…
Burge says the Nebraska Community Foundation’s Five to Thrive campaign is a planned giving initiative that encourages Nebraskans to leave just 5% of their estate to their hometown or a local charitable cause.
The goal is to capture a small portion of the state’s massive intergenerational transfer of wealth to reinvest in local communities.
Before joining the NCF team, Burge spent thirty years in marketing and strategy development for companies including Valmont Industries and State Farm Insurance.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing at Flatwater Bank in Gothenburg.
